Thank you, North Dakota legislators, for your support! With the passage of SB 2146 and HB 1066, our state's grape and wine industry is on a roll.   HB 1066 is the Direct to Retail bill which will allow domestic wineries the option of selling their product directly to bars, restaurants or bottle shops or of distributing them using a wholesaler.  SB 2146 is the funding bill to continue the groundbreaking variety development work begun at NDSU following the passage of SB 2373 in 2009.  This spring there are 6,000 F1 seedlings of grapes containing the genes for early maturity, extreme cold hardiness, good wine quality, and good yield ready to plant in the field. Click on the Gallery tab to see photos. 

It's official.  We are now the North Dakota Grape and Wine Association. The updated bylaws were approved at our Annual Conference on February 9, 2013.

North Dakota vineyard locations registered with the ND Department of Agriculture can be found by clicking here.  The purpose of this registry is to inform custom pesticide applicators of their existence and to hopefully reduce problems with herbicide drift.  If you would like to have your vineyard added to this list, please contact Greg.
